Congratulations to Corrine Santonastasio for being named as the September 2024 NES Employee Spotlight! Corrine serves as a Credentialing Specialist.
Here’s a bit about Corrine in her own words:
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
“Originally from Long Island, NY, I moved to Winter Garden, FL with my husband and 2 daughters in 2017. I never thought I would leave NY, but I love the quality-of-life Florida has offered me and my family. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in human resource management from Stony Brook University. I have spent my career working for healthcare staffing and management companies with roles in credentialing, scheduling, office management and human resources. I enjoy spending my free time outdoors and exploring the Florida beaches.”
What do you do for the company?
“I am a Credentialing Coordinator. I serve as the liaison between our providers and the Medical Staff Offices to complete the hospital credentialing and reappointment processes.”
What makes you want to stay at our organization?
“The teamwork atmosphere – working together with the Recruiters and Account Managers to meet company staffing needs. I previously worked for NES from 1988-2012 – returned in 2022 – and the focus on teamwork is still a priority.”
Which work benefit or perk is your favorite and why?
“Working from home is my favorite perk. While I enjoy the work-life balance and flexibility of working from home, the time and energy saved not having to commute to an office is the best benefit.”
Tell us a few things about the favorite part of your job?
“The favorite part of my job is establishing working relationships with our providers and the Medical Staff Office Coordinators.”
What skill do you think everyone should learn?
“A sport because it challenges you mentally and physically. I recently started to learn how to play pickleball. Not only is it a great way to exercise and reduce stress, but it is also a social sport, which has allowed me to make new friends in my community.”
