Case Variety and Volume

The diversity and volume of cases encountered in an emergency medicine practice greatly impact the learning experience. Look for a practice that provides exposure to a wide range of cases, including medical, surgical, trauma, and pediatric emergencies. A higher patient volume can provide ample opportunities to refine your clinical skills and develop your decision-making abilities under pressure. However, strike a balance between case variety and manageable workloads to prevent burnout and ensure adequate learning opportunities.
