NES Health is excited to announce a new job opening for an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. The position is based in the Sierra View Medical Center, a vibrant community hospital located in Porterville, California.

About the Hospital

• A 165-bed community hospital with a strong commitment to patient care.
• Functions as a teaching hospital and utilizes the Meditech EMR system.

Coverage Areas Include 

• Radiology (in-house during the day and tele at night)
• Interventional Radiology
• Stroke Center
• Pediatrics
• Anesthesiology
• Line Service
• Ultrasound
• OB/Gyn
• Hospitalist
• ENT
• Cardiology
• a 10-bed ICU

Program Details and Operational Hours

• The 18-bed Emergency Department caters to 40,000 annual visits with an 11% admission rate.
• ED Physicians respond to Floor Codes.
• The work schedule includes 12-hour shifts for both Physicians (6a-6p, 3p-3a, 6p-6a) and APPs (6a-6p, 11a-11p, 6p-6a).

Candidate Qualifications 

• Candidates should have an active California license or the ability to attain an unrestricted state license.
• Board-certified (BC) or board-eligible (BE) as a PA or FNP.
• Must have active ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and/or PALS certifications.
