Hospitalist Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Ponca City, Oklahoma

NES Health invites applications from Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners looking to join our Hospitalist team at Integris Health Ponca City Hospital in Oklahoma.

About the Hospital

  • A 140-bed community hospital and part of the Integris Health network.

  • Anesthesiology
  • Line Services
  • Ultrasound
  • Obstetrics
  • Gynecology
  • Emergency Department
  • Cardiology
  • Neurology (tele)

Program Details and Operational Hours

  • Hospitalists admit 3-7 patients per day with a daily census of 21-27 patients.
  • The Hospitalist APP is responsible for rounding, seeing new patients, and discharge planning.
  • Required procedures include Central Lines, Arterial Lines, and Intubation.
  • OSU Medical Residents rotate through the Hospitalist program.
  • Meditech EMR is used for hospital records, while Medhost EMR is utilized in the Emergency Department with 15,750 annual visits and a 10% admission rate.
  • Physicians work in 12-hour shifts (7a-7p), with remote on-call from 7p-7a, while APPs have a 10-hour shift (7-5p).

Candidate Qualifications

  • Active Oklahoma license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted state license.
  • Must be BE/BC as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner/Adult Nurse Practitioner.
  • Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS.
  • Must live in Oklahoma or be within a 4-hour drive.
