NES Health is actively recruiting an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dedicated team at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas.

About the Hospital

• A comprehensive 473-bed Veteran’s Affairs Hospital utilizing EPIC EMR system.

Coverage Areas Include

• Radiology and Interventional Radiology
• Psychiatry
• Anesthesiology
• Ultrasound
• Hospitalist services
• ENT
• Cardiology
• Neurology
• A 9 bed-ICU, 9 MICU beds, and 15 SICU beds.
• A teaching hospital

Program Details and Operational Hours

• Large 30-bed ED with 16 main beds, 8 hallway beds, and 6 fast-track beds.
• Approximately 48,000 annual ED visits with a 25% admission rate from the ED.
• Physician shifts are 12-hours (nights, weekends, and holidays).
• APPs have 8-hour shifts (nights, weekends, and holidays in the Fast Track).

Candidate Qualifications

• Active state license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted state license.
• Candidates must be BE/BC in Emergency Medicine (EM) or Internal Medicine (IM).
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• IM Fellows must have completed at least 1 month of ED rotation in residency.
